Sludge Set™ is used to rapidly solidify or modify the viscosity of cement fines based waste produced at ready mix and precast concrete manufacturing operations to enable easy disposal. Sludge Set™ is extremely effective for slurry solutions produced in concrete grinding, cutting, sawing, and polishing operations. The product is also useful in treating slurry resulting from hydro-demolition projects.
Sludge Set™ is also used at a lower rate as a viscosity modifier to enable transport of sludge without spilling or leaking from the truck or loader bucket.
Sludge Set™ is a non-hazardous material that is easy to use and extremely cost effective compared to other absorbents, filter presses and rotary vacuum systems that utilize filter media.
Sludge Set™ is a granular super absorbent drying agent that rapidly absorbs and retains large volumes of matter. It is capable absorbing up 250 X its own weight in water. One pound will absorb 30 gallons of water. Unlike other drying agents Sludge Set adds less than 1% free swell which lowers transportation costs. Sludge Set™ offers a more cost effective and safer approach than lime, fly ash, diatomaceous earth and other traditional absorbents. Sludge Set’M treated materials are suitable for Class 1
Industrial
Landfills.

Sludge Set™ Waste disposal Properties
Sludge Set™ is a super absorbent drying agent consisting of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. These elements are commonly found in municipal solid waste.
APPLICATION RATES: Apply 10 to 25 lb of Sludge Set™ per 1,000# ofsludge depending on water content of sludge. Laboratory testing is available at no charge to determine proper application rates.
APPLICATION:
PUMP OFF ALL STANDING WATER BEFORE APPLYING SLUDGE SET FOR MOST ECONOMICAL USE. Use a large scoop to apply an even application of Sludge Set™ onto the surface of the sludge or slurry. Apply from sides of pit or basin, roll-off or tank onto sludge. 50 or 100 lbs can be loaded into the lower lip of a loader bucket and spread by jinking the bucket as loader is moving. Mix with the loader bucket, working from shallow end to deep end of basin or pit. A mixer or agitator may be needed in enclosed containment. Allow 45 minutes for Sludge Set™ absorb as much moisture as possible. Sludge Set may be added to areas as needed. Sludge Set™ is available in 50# multi-wall paper bags. Store in a dry area.
